Seminar – “School-based prevention: current status and future challenges” by Professor Mark Greenberg (Penn State University) Wed 8 Mar 4-6pm (UoM)

Hope everyone is well.  Just a quick note to invite you to a seminar by Professor Mark Greenberg (Penn State University) on Wednesday 8th May 2013 from 4-6pm in Room AG.3.  The seminar is entitled, “School-based prevention: current status and future challenges”.  Please see attached flyer for details.  All staff and students are welcome. Please feel free to circulate the flyer to any other colleagues that you feel may be interested in attending.

Mark is one of our new consulting professors.   He is the Edna Bennett Chair of Prevention Research at Penn State University and is Director of the Prevention Research Centre for the Promotion of Human Development. Mark is a founding member of the Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning (CASEL) and was the founder of the Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies (PATHS) curriculum. His research on the prevention of aggression, violence and externalising disorders through school-based prevention programmes is widely regarded as being at the forefront of the field.
