Researching Multilingually: An emerging methodology for doctoral research (26th Feb, Durham University)

This workshop, drawing on examples and case studies from the facilitators’ AHRC-funded “Researching Multilingually” project (http://researchingmultilingually.com/), aims to expose processes and practices of researching multilingually with specific reference to participants’ own research projects. The overall objectives of the workshop are to:

  • Introduce participants to the opportunities, complexities, and challenges of researching multilingually
  • Develop participants’ competence in researching multilingually
  • Build researcher capacity generally, and more particularly, in producing quality research that respects ethical and human rights issues where research involving more than one language is concerned
