Looking for information on a specific topic? Need some research support? Finding and searching the right information is an essential skill for successful assignments whether you are working on an essay, group project or dissertation. The Library provides a wide range of support to help you make the most of the high quality information available from our resources:

  • Research Skills Training: Take advantage of our training sessions tailored to help you develop the right strategies and techniques for successful research planning, searching and referencing. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment. Alternatively take advantage of our drop-in “Skills Clinics” providing you with an opportunity to discuss your research requirements with an experienced member of staff.   • Subject Guides: The Library’s online guides provide a great starting point for identifying and searching relevant resources for your subject area. Need somewhere to study in the early hours or late evening? The Alan Gilbert Learning Commons, providing state of the art facilities is now open 24/7. With over 1,000 study spaces, 400 pc’s and 30 bookable meeting rooms the Learning Commons offers a flexible comfortable environment for individual or group study.
