This interdisciplinary conference has a history of bringing together academic, government and practice-based scholars. Past participants have included international lecturers, researchers, teachers, leaders and practitioners from a variety of professional disciplines who share a common concern for examining the nature of interdisciplinary practices that arise in the study of ‘real world’ applications. Papers range across various facets of the social sciences including global, civic, political, social, community, educational and environmental studies.
Now in its eighth year, the Social Sciences Conference moves to Prague, Czech Republic. Our journey to its capital city, a major European political hub and an economic center of eastern and central Europe, honors its rich tapestry of history boasting many notable landmarks that remained mostly untouched during World War II, earning the city a coveted designation on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Its significant role across a broad spectrum of historical events, human endeavors, and societal struggles make Prague an ideal location to discuss the social sciences in all their aspect.
