Event: Social Enterprise Innovation Competition 2012 – info session

The Faculty of Humanities in partnership with UMI3 and its supporters are delighted to launch the Social Enterprise Innovation Competition 2012. We now welcome competition entries for innovative social enterprise projects.  This competition will enable Faculty of Humanities academics, postgraduates and staff to submit an idea for a social based venture, with the view to growing this enterprise.

The details of an event on 28th March especially for staff and postgraduate students in The School of Education who are interested in finding our more about this initiative – and how their research or teaching activities might be developed within a Social Enterprise context:

We will be holding an informative lunchtime session covering;-

  • Scene Setting – the Social Enterprises opportunity
  • Reasons for starting a Social Enterprise
  • Case Study of an existing academic Social Enterprise
  • Details around the Social Enterprise Innovation Competition, the process, the prizes, the Preparation Day and the call for entries.
  • Q&A session

This session will help to shape your applications and discover more about the ideas you have, but we encourage you to go ahead and complete your entry to begin with.
