PGR Summer Conference (August anyone?): Call for IDEAS

Dear all,

I, along with, some of the school of education PhD students, are planning to deliver a Post-Grad/PhD conference to maybe run over two days in August 2012. This would allow many of the Part-Time students to attend a mini conference and also be present at workshops that they may not be able to attend during their busy teaching year.

The suggested dates are as follows:

Thursday/Friday 2nd and 3rdAugust

Thursday/Friday 9th and 10thAugust

Thursday/Friday 16th and 17thAugust

It is planned that talks and presentations would be given in the mornings and in the afternoons 1 hour training sessions would be run in break-out rooms. There is also the possibility of a Thursday evening dinner for participants and presenters.

What I would like to do is to gather suggestions for possible sessions and guest speakers.

If you have any ideas/thoughts/suggestions that we can put forward could you please let me know!

Is there anything you would like to do/learn/train/hear?

Is there anyone you know who may be able to contribute?

Suggestions so far are:

  1. NVIVO training.
  2. Using Twitter/facebook/bloggs/networking:  Making the most of your android.
  3. PGR Website

Please contact: Andrew Davies.

Many thanks in advance.
